How to reboot the modem
Rebooting your modem can fix most issues you may be experiencing.
No static IP
- Turn off the modem (unplug the power cord) and wait 10 seconds
- Turn the modem back on (plug the power cord back in).
- Reboot the router and/or switch (unplug the power cord), if applicable.
- Restart the computer(s).
With static IP
- Turn off the modem (unplug the power cord) and wait until the static IP is disconnected, up to 10 minutes.
- Turn the modem back on (plug the power cord back in).
- Reboot the router and/or switch (unplug the power cord), if applicable.
- Restart the computer(s).
